Frequently Asked Questions

 

What time can we check in?

A hosted check in is from 4.00pm to 7.00pm. 

Can we have an earlier check in?

If you have booked direct with us through our website then you can check in from 2.00pm although please arrange this well in advance. If you booked through an agency like Booking.com or Expedia etc then we charge £20 per cottage or £10 per ensuite room per hour or part of an hour. Again please arrange this well in advance.

Can we arrive after 7pm?

Of course. Simply let us know in advance and we can leave a plan of our premises on the door of the farmhouse showing you how to reach your self catering cottage. This service is not available for The Farmhouse Room. If you arrive very late please be aware of other guests who maybe sleeping.

Can we walk into town?

It is a walk of one mile firstly through a grassed field then on to a footpath. Taxis are usually available by the station if needed.

Can we walk to a pub?

The George at Woolley is dog friendly and is a half mile walk across a field along a public footpath. A torch and wellies maybe required.

Where is good to eat?

There are so many good restaurants and bars it is difficult to recommend one as it depends on what you would like, how much you would like to spend etc. Please do some research before you come to us.

How much is a taxi into Bradford on Avon or Bath?

For two persons a taxi into or from BOA would be £6 each way before 10.30pm.

For two persons a taxi into or from Bath would be bout £20 each way before 10.30pm.

 

Do you have cycle storage?

We have a lockable stone barn in which bikes can be stored.

Do you have EV Charging?

Yes it is in the car park and is free if you are staying with us.

 

Are Towels and Linen Included?

For the self catering cottages whilst bed linen is included for a few reasons personal towels are not.

For the ensuite rooms both linen and towels are provided.

Are you a working farm?

We are not a working farm. The insurances to allow guests in such an environment are prohibitive.

What animals are there?

This is always changing but currently there are two Shetland ponies, two English Setters, two cats, several hens, sets of bantams, ducks and some guinea fowl.
