The location was excellent and we loved the interior decor of the room. The bed was very comfy, even an electric blanket if you needed it. Also a great deal of thought has gone into all the extras provided in the room such as the microwave, toaster, fridge and the plentiful choice of tea, coffee and hot chocolate sachets and biscuits. Friendly, very helpful owners who are experienced at running holiday
accommodation, so they have thought of pretty much anything you could need. Every room/cottage is really well equipped and the little welcome pack of tea, coffee, something sweet, flowers, etc was a lovely touch. Rustic style, comfortable beds, rural location, close to amenities and interesting places to visit. We had a really lovely, peaceful stay. Loved the decor and quality of the furniture in the bedroom which made for a cosy, comfortable weekend. Hosts were flexible about check in / out times and were kind enough to leave us some milk, sweets and lots of different types of tea!
We visited via train so were reliant on taxis to and from Bradford-on-Avon which was difficult at times re availability and price. Would definitely recommend driving if you’re staying here!
We went into Bath for Christmas market which was hectic but also beautiful. Bradford-on-Avon itself is a delightful place – would recommend Ravello for delicious Italian food or Thai Barn for authentic Thai cuisine.

We enjoyed a lovely two night stay in cow byrn 1 with our three children. Nigel was very accommodating with our later arrival on the friday night and came over to introduce himself over the weekend and check we were happy with our stay. On the Saturday we visited Longleat safari park wich was an easy 25min drive away happy in the knowledge we would be returning after a tiring day to a very relaxing and comfortable space. Our children loved the games room and meet the two friendly dog, we could have easily spent more time there and will definitely look to return in the future. We enjoyed a fantastic long weekend stay at Cow Byre Cottages over the bank holiday weekend. The accommodation was perfect for an extended family of 9 and Nigel and Pauline were brilliant hosts, nothing was too much trouble! They helped us book discounted attraction tickets and even returned a forgotten item free of charge! It was well equipped with everything we needed, with milk and biscuits gifted on arrival. The games room was great for our teenagers and young children and the dog walking fields were well thought out providing a safe route with gorgeous views. Fantastic for Families
We chose The Beeches for an extended family weekend visiting Longleat Safari Park (about 20 minutes away). 4 adults and 4 children stayed in the 2 interconnecting CowByre cottages and 3 adults in the en-suite rooms. The Cow Byres were perfect for two families with everything needed for a self catering stay with small children. The ensuite rooms were well equipped with facilities for drinks/breakfast. All accommodation was spotlessly clean. A highlight for us was the playground and games room as we used these in the evenings to socialise when a further 8 family members who were camping nearby joined us. We all enjoyed the table football, pool table and table tennis whilst the 18 month old loved the ball pool. The owner, Nigel, was prompt with answers to my queries beforehand and keen to ensure everything was fine during our stay. Unfortunately we were only staying at Nigel’s cottage for work reasons, so there were little chance to enjoy the peace and quiet, or to venture out exploring. We booked Pig Wig cottage for a holiday for three generations of family. We all loved the cottage. It was very comfortable and well equipped. Nigel was helpful, friendly and welcoming. All the information he shared beforehand (directions, local shops, places to eat, public transport, etc.) was extremely helpful. Thoughtful little touches like milk in the fridge on arrival, and nightlights in the hallway, show the care and attention that is given to making this a welcoming holiday destination. We stayed here in the cow Byre 1 and 2 for a Hen party weekend with a quick trip into Bath. BOA Taxis were very good.
Nigel was great to help arrange taxis, moving furniture, early check etc. No questions went un answered and at short notice even allowed a unplanned baby to stay too.
The accommodation is very clean and Nigel and family were on hand if we needed anything. The games room was an added touch too!

We had a fabulous 2 night stay here. We stayed in the Milking Shed which was exactly as described, warm and exceptionally clean. There is free parking at the property.
We booked direct and took advantage of the Thermae Bath Spa vouchers.
From the accommodation we walked 25 minutes to Bradford on Avon train station, then a 12 minute train to the centre of Bath. Our mini break was very relaxing.
Bradford on Avon is a very pretty town with good restaurants and nice pubs.

We stayed for the weekend in the Potato Shed Double Ensuite room. It was a lovely room and had everything we needed in there. It was in a great location for our needs. A short walk to The George pub and to the town of Bradford on Avon for the train into Bath. We also had a lovely breakfast across the road on our departure. Last minute, on the day booking, no hassle, easy to find. Stayed a couple of nights in the Cart house. Quirky, comfortable cottage which had everything we needed – electric blanket, tea and coffee making stuff, fridge, hair dryer, towels, even has bread toaster (and microwave), ample parking space in the property. Peaceful surrounding area. We had great sleep both nights. Just a 20 minute drive to Bath, 30 to Castle Combe (Cotswolds) which was really convenient. Our cottage was very cosy with a helpful amount of everything as we had an extended stay. It was also very peaceful and so easy to have our dog with us which was great. Perfect place to stay if you’re going Bath and nearby areas (Frome, Longleat,etc…), a lovely spot with comfortable rooms and charming surroundings, calm, clean, easy to get to.
Hosts are very flexible and friendly, there’s good amenities in the room and the check in is without fuss whatsoever. Good price too especially when you see the local prices for similar places!

Nice village style houses and facilities. location out of the city and any village but not too far. Friendly staff and very clean everywhere inside and outside. Comfortable bed, bathroom with bathtub and toilet accessible from the door inside the bedroom. Nice view, you can see the garden trough the windows. You have TV, microwave, free WiFi, free parking, a small fridge, toaster and even kettle to make coffee and tea kindly provided by the staff. I was surprised to find a bottle of cold water and milk in the fridge.

Nigel and Pauline made us feel extremely welcome. We had a large group and they arranged all of the rooms in the ways that suited our needs.
Rooms were clean and each had fresh flowers, facilities were great (including BBQ and Games Room) and with the weather being as good as it was, we were all able to take advantage of all the outside space.

I personally stayed in Pigwig. We loved the well appointed cottage and piggy decorations 🙂 The nightlights at night were great for making our way to the bathroom, good job. I brought torches, but you’d already provided these on the backs of all the bedroom doors ????Our stay couldn’t have been any better! You thought of everything ???? Thank you for the biscuits and milk left for a welcome cuppa on arrival ???? (We had brought plenty of milk but I’m sure many guests don’t.) Plenty of toilet rolls ( I brought extra but not needed), lots of kitchen utensils and herbs and veg oil, silver foil, cling film. I left ours in bags ???? I’d also brought dishcloths and tea towels but you provided those ???? You even had BBQ utensils available – thank you. We loved the fresh flowers on the dining tables ☺️ And such a lovely choice of seating areas depending on what the sun was doing! Thanks for letting us move a few picnic tables (hope we returned them to their rightful spots). The Games Room was a bonus and enjoyed by many, thank you! Top marks for the play area – our granddaughter LOVED it! ???? Brilliant having the motion lights coming on as you walked from the Cow Byres through the bushy tunnel towards the play area ???? And excellent recycling facilities, you really have thought of everything! ???? It was very straightforward making my booking and the owners were happy to accommodate a large group with different needs. Milk and biscuits were available on arrival as was a warm welcome from our hosts. Beeches was such a fabulous place to stay, we were bowled over! Sleeping accommodation was very comfortable and there was everything we needed in the kitchens, and more. We loved meeting the resident dogs and our granddaughter was excited to see the chickens. The setting was perfect – not far to Bradford on Avon and the canal. An even closer walk to a nearby pub (can highly recommend The George) And we made use of the inbuilt BBQ. All ages enjoyed the well-equipped Games Room and the play area was a huge hit too. I highly recommend this venue for groups of any size.

Our large family group stayed in a variety of the rooms & cottages available, something for everyone! Two of the cottages were able to be opened up and we had large dining in one and a large lounge area in the other. However, as the weather was glorious, much of the time we gathered outside at the numerous seating areas. After many years of holidaying in properties around the UK, these cottages were the best equipped EVER! The Owners have thought of everything 🙂 The play area and Games Room were a big hit with both the little and older children! Top marks.

Nigel is a very kind host, he gave us precious suggestions on how to move around the zone; his room was little but really cute and comfortable, with a big and comfortable bathroom. Even if it’s a room, you have the fridge and the microwave and all the stuff to prepare breakfast. The area Is beautiful and you can walk through the fields (you can reach Bradford on Avon by foot even if by car It takes less than five min). Bed was very comfortable, room has everything you need unless you don’t use microwave ovens, shower good, hosts lovely and very helpful. Location is rural so you need a car or taxi to get around. This is our 2nd stay here and we have no complaints.

Lovely owners rang to ensure I knew how to find them. They didn’t provide breakfast, which I’d overlooked, as it was a very last minute booking. But they kindly provided me with some delicious bread to toast, and butter and jam. Fresh milk in the fridge for cups of tea. Not those horrible little UHT milk pods. Real milk in bottles. It was much appreciated.

We are a family of 5 and we enjoyed greatly spending our Easter break there. The place is very cosy and comfortable, we had everything we needed, including a baby cot. Kids were very pleased to find chocolate eggs kindly left for them in the basket by the hosts. It was well heated, which was important for us staying there with the children. Nigel has been very kind to accommodate our request to shift our visit one day later, even though they usually don’t check-in on Saturdays. It really saved our trip, as we managed to do everything we planned. It is just 20 min drive to Longleat Safari Park, and around the corner from the nice little town (Bradford on Avon) that has a lot of very good restaurants. We had a lovely weekend in Cow Byre 1. A very cosy cow themed converted barn, lovely views and only 1 mile from Bradford on Avon. Lots of facilities for children, ours had fun even with wet muddy ground. Nigel’s communication was quick and very helpful. We would highly recommend for families. We will be back. Held my 30th birthday party here having rented out all the cottages. The place was perfect for a big party weekend. We had pets, animals and 24 adults and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. Lovely accommodation, nice touch with mince pies and milk in the fridge on arrival. We didn’t use the log burner but there were electric blankets and plenty of heaters to use (aswell as central heating). There is a small outside play area and games room for the kids. The cottages and rooms are really well set up, with great facilities. Everywhere is very warm and cosy, and feels welcoming.

We are from South Africa and stayed here for three weeks. It was a very pleasant experience and as we had our children ( and grandchildren) sharing the accommodation ( and some of them also renting some of the rooms on the property), we can highly recommend this accommodation. Owners were always helpful with whatever we required. And the kid’s playroom was a big hit !

We absolutely loved our stay. Your location is a fantastic base for exploring so many interesting places. Our accommodation (cow Byrne 2) was so homely, fantastically clean, well maintained and equipped. I must say we appreciated arriving to tea/ coffee/ milk and the extra touches like oil/ herbs in the cupboard and toiletries so we didn’t have to buy our own for a short stay.

This was perfect for our visit to Bath with our dog. We had an ensuite room with an extra bed for our son and it was ideal.
